the journey from knowledge and understanding toward Divine Love, devotion, union with God, and eternal peace.
Devotion and Faith / Spiritual Wisdom

The Ultimate Goal is Divine Love, Not Knowledge

Many people spend years in collecting knowledge.

They read knowledge books. They study scriptures. They learn spiritual concepts.

And yet, something within remains unsatisfied.

Why?

Because the deepest longing of the soul is not knowledge. The deepest longing of the soul is Divine Love.

Knowledge can tell us where water exists.

But knowing about water is not the same as drinking it.

In the same way, knowledge can tell us about God. Knowledge can explain spiritual truths. Knowledge can remove doubt.

But knowledge alone cannot satisfy the heart.

The purpose of knowledge is fulfilled only when it awakens Divine Love.

The ultimate goal is Divine Love, not knowledge.

A traveler uses a road to reach a destination.

No one walks endlessly on the road without reaching where they intended to go.

Knowledge is like the road. Divine Love is the destination.

When the destination is reached, the road has served its purpose.

Knowledge shows the way. Divine Love is where the journey ends.

This is why saints speak so deeply about devotion.

Knowledge may bring understanding. Divine Love brings relationship.

Knowledge may remove ignorance. Divine Love removes distance.

Knowledge may reveal God. Divine Love makes God dear.

And when God becomes dear, everything connected with Him becomes dear.

Worldly achievements often lose their attraction after they are obtained.

Even knowledge can become a source of pride if it remains limited to the intellect.

But Divine Love is different.

The more Divine Love grows, the more beautiful it becomes.

It never becomes old. It never becomes exhausted. It never reaches a point where the heart says, “I have had enough.”

Divine Love is infinite because its source is infinite.

The soul finds information through knowledge, but fulfillment through Divine Love.

Perhaps this is why the saints repeatedly remind us that the highest attainment is not becoming a great scholar.

The highest attainment is becoming a lover of God.

Because in the end, knowledge remains a means. Divine Love remains the goal.

Knowledge is the path. Divine Love is the destination.
