An ordinary person may ignore many faults within themselves. Anger feels normal. Ego feels justified. Harsh words feel insignificant. But when a heart becomes deeply devoted and spiritually refined, even a small impurity starts feeling heavy inside.
Why?
Because purity increases sensitivity.
A true devotee does not become disturbed because they suddenly became worse. They become disturbed because awareness has become clearer.
A small mistake that once passed unnoticed now touches the conscience deeply.
A slight ego reaction feels painful.
A moment of dishonesty feels uncomfortable.
A harsh word creates inner disturbance.
Even subtle negativity becomes visible immediately.
The purer the heart becomes, the more sensitive it becomes toward even the smallest inner fault.
A true seeker suffers not because they are full of faults, but because their conscience has become too awake to ignore them.
This is why true devotee often appear humble. They continuously observe themselves internally instead of feeling spiritually superior.
Spiritual growth increases sensitivity toward one’s own imperfections, not pride about one’s progress.
The pain of noticing one’s own impurity is often the beginning of real purification.
But a devotee slowly starts looking inward:
“What inside me reacted?”
“Why did ego become disturbed?”
“What still needs purification?”
This inner honesty becomes the beginning of real transformation.
The turning point comes when a seeker understands that noticing faults is not spiritual failure. It is spiritual awakening.
Most negativity survives because it remains unconscious. Once awareness starts seeing it clearly, purification quietly begins.
A tiny dust particle becomes visible immediately in sunlight. In the same way, when consciousness becomes pure, even subtle ego and negativity become visible within.
Ego hides faults by constantly justifying them. Devotion weakens this blindness and make self-honesty possible.
A true devotee does not want even small impurity inside because love for the Divine creates a longing for inner purity.
The ability to feel disturbed by one’s own faults is itself a sign that the heart is becoming spiritually alive.
