The Eternal Truth Beyond the Material World

The Eternal Truth Beyond the Material World

As humans, we often make the mistake of focusing first on the material world—the body and the external reality—and only then attempt to perceive the divine within it. However, the truth is that our focus should start with the essence of the divine and flow outward, rather than beginning with the transient world.

The Illusion of the Material World

The world we see is like a polished surface—it may shine for a while but is impermanent. The Bhagavad Gita states, “नासतो विद्यते भावः” (“The unreal has no existence”). What we perceive as the physical world is transient, while the eternal divine reality is changeless and ever-present.

Realizing the Truth

A seeker must ask the fundamental question: What came first—the divine essence or the material world? Upon reflection, it becomes evident that the divine existed before all creation. The body and the material world are secondary. The essence—the divine consciousness—is primary.

Shifting Our Perspective

When one’s focus turns inward toward the eternal divine, the illusion of the material world fades away. True seekers must look beyond the body and the transient world. We are not in the material world seeking the divine; we are in the divine, and the material world is but a fleeting illusion.

“Fix your vision on the eternal truth. The material world is not your reality; the divine essence is your true home.”

Applying This Wisdom to Daily Life

Understanding that we exist in the divine, and not the other way around, shifts how we approach life. It brings detachment from material desires and a deeper connection to peace and fulfillment. By focusing on the divine essence within, we radiate positivity and transform our lives.

The truth is eternal. Look beyond the surface and embrace the divine essence within you.
